School of Gaming

About Us:

"JR's School of Gaming" is a video game review show developed by Jerry Schofield and produced through his "1615 Studios" based in Sandusky Ohio. The shows goal is to bring the viewer reviews on games that they want to see, with a perfect blend of game history, comedy and special effects.

The roots of "JR's School of Gaming" date back to the Spring of 2003. During that time Schofield found eBay, and started to collect retro and vintage games for the NES, SNES, SEGA, etc. While looking into the world of retro gaming, he stumbled on a site called "Hardcore Gaming 101". At that time, he imaginged his own retro site, one where he could review games that he was playing and interact with other gamers. Although, over time, he was never able to do so, but the idea stayed with him for 5 years.

Fastforward to 2007, at the time Schofield, with Zach Bechstien and Nik Anderson, started to fool around with some editing programs and film R/C races and other things like pranks and stunts. After putting out 2 Lunkerhouse projects, "Midwest Bound and Down" and "Three Hour Tour", Schofield's idea of a video game review show resurrfaced.

Teaming with Chad Knauner and forming "1615 Studios", the 4 where able to produce a low buget studio stage with green screen and a audio/video system. With everything in place, the developement for the show started in June 2008 and over the summer, several test verions where filmed. It was not until August, that a format was decided on and shooting went in to high gear to bring you the show we all love today...
